Only Certain Guests Can Get the Newest Exclusive Disney World Souvenir

Being a Disney World Annual Passholder comes with some perks!

Annual Passholder Magnet

Annual Passholders can get discounts across Disney World, access to some exclusive merchandise, and even the occasional freebie! We’ve previously seen Disney distribute sparkly Mickey and Minnie Annual Passholder magnets in Disney Springs, and now they’re releasing a magnet with another popular character, and they’re available now!

The Orange Bird Annual Passholder magnet is available starting today in Disney Springs. Passholders will be able to get the magnet until August 5th, so you have a full month to grab it! Disney is distributing the magnet via a virtual queue, which can be accessed either through the My Disney Experience app, or by scanning the QR code on the signs located throughout Disney Springs.

Virtual queue sign

If you’re going through the app, you’ll navigate to the home screen, then scroll down to the virtual queue section of the page. You’ll see that it tells you to request access for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, but you’ll click “Join Virtual Queue” and select Disney Springs on the next screen.

Once you’ve hit “Join Virtual Queue,” you’ll have the choice to select either EPCOT or Disney Springs. Once you’ve selected Disney Springs, you’ll be able to join the virtual queue for the magnet. As a reminder, you’ll need to be within 45 miles of Disney World in order to join the queue.

Once you’ve joined, you’ll be given a group number and an approximate return time. When we joined, it said we would have a wait of about 130 minutes.  We were group 30.

You’ll get a notification when your boarding group is called. That notification will tell you how long you have to enter the queue, and it will also give you a QR code to scan once you get to the front of the line. Once you get that notification, you’ll head back to Wonderful World of Memories to get in line. When we visited, the line was extended past the Days of Christmas store, so be prepared for long lines.

To enter Wonderful World of Memories to grab the magnet, you can choose to have the Cast Member scan the QR code in the app, or scan your MagicBand or produce your Annual Pass card to prove your Passholder status. Once inside, you’ll need to, once again, show your Annual Pass card along with a form of government identification. You’ll then be given your magnet, and information card, and a scavenger hunt!

The magnet itself is blue, with Orange Bird in the center. There’s white around Orange Bird, which can be removed if you want.

You’ll get information about how to “bring the magnet to life” through augmented reality. You can go to the website (www.passholdermagnets.com) or scan the QR code to access the animation.

You also have the option to take an Orange Bird scavenger hunt map! This map will lead you to 10 locations throughout Disney Springs where there is an Orange Bird hidden. This map is free and completely optional.
