Salt & Straw is finally here!
This funky ice cream shop has delivered some creative and fun flavors to guests over in Disneyland, and it’s finally made its way out to Florida! They recently served up donut-inspired flavors, and their menu is constantly changing with the seasons. We went over to Salt & Straw for a media event to give you the inside scoop!
There were tons of things to try at Salt & Straw, so let’s jump right in!
Atmosphere
We visited Salt & Straw yesterday for a media preview and again today for the grand opening. Here’s a look at the outside of the restaurant!
This morning, the staff and one of the Salt & Straw owners held a ribbon-cutting.
Salt & Straw is officially open!
The location had a line as soon as it opened and later moved to a Virtual Queue. To join, you can speak with a Cast Member at the physical line.
Inside, the shop has a stylish vibe with lots of wood and bright tones.
Next to the menu is a little sign that says, “If you ever stop believing, eat some ice cream.”
Like most ice cream shops, you head up to the counter to order your scoops!
It’s a small, but comfortable space.
Menu
Now onto the ice cream! Here’s what they were serving up! There are five limited-edition flavors from The Student Inventors Series.
There are also the Classic Flavors which you can expect to see available the majority of the time as well as some Last Chance Scoops.
Here’s the pricing!
We tried most of the flavors during our media visit and here’s how we felt about them! Starting with the Chocolate Gooey Brownie, this one was so rich and decadent with some awesome brownie chunks.
Next, we tried the Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons. This one was super creamy with sweetness from the caramel and a noticeable balancing saltiness.
The Panther Coffee Chocolate Tres Leches was the best coffee ice cream we’d ever had with a bitter hint from the coffee!
On to the Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. This one would be great for kids with classic cookie dough flavor!
Next, we moved to some of the more unique flavors like Cinnamon Snickerdoodle which had an awesome sugary flavor with little bits of cookie in it.
Then the Honey Lavender was super floral and light with a perfect combo of the two flavors.
We were super excited about the Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper. It’s a very good strawberry ice cream base with sweetness from the honey, spice from the pepper, and acidity from the balsamic.
The Salty Donut Guava + Cheese tasted mostly like guava with cream cheese and is definitely the way to go if you like guava.
On to the Olive Oil! This one was a more basic flavor. It didn’t taste a lot like olive oil but was less sweet and had some amazing butteriness to it.
The Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip is the vegan option made with coconut milk. We didn’t taste coconut at all, just really high-quality mint and delicious melty chocolate.
Bottomless Limes! is a limited-edition flavor and gave us Key Lime Pie in-a-cup vibes!
And finally, we had to try The Adventurous Llamanaut. This one was a really pretty purple color with hints of cherry and marshmallow!
To wrap it up, we also snagged one of the flights from the menu with a few of our favorites.
Overall, these ice creams were some of the best we’ve ever had with amazing textures and rich, unique flavors. We’re pretty happy about this addition to Disney Springs.

Well, thankfully In an skip this…classic flavors? Honey Lavender…or Strawberry with Black pepper ( yuck) or Habanero in ice cream? Basil in ice cream? Olive oil? Is not something I would ever pay to eat….I’m a traditionalist…love good ice cream…
