It may be the middle of October, but Disney World is already gearing up for the holidays!

Earlier today we spotted some of the FIRST holiday decorations in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and now we’ve got more details about how guests will be able to celebrate in the parks this November!
Last year, one of the holiday traditions missing from Disney’s Animal Kingdom was The Merry Menagerie. If you’re not familiar, this took place in years prior at Discovery Island and was a spot where guests could find winter animals in life-size puppet form accompanied by musicians.

But, fans of this interactive experience won’t have to go another year without it because Disney has confirmed that The Merry Menagerie will be BACK again this year!

They will once again be located on Discovery Island and guests will be able to encounter animals like reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, and more as they “create a whimsical display and playful atmosphere.”

But, that’s not the only thing returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the holidays! Goofy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and other Disney characters will take to Discover River in holiday flotillas. And, the Tree of Life will light up to the tune of holiday-inspired music as “a series of wintry tales emerge from within.”

Plus, between these “awakening” moments, guests will be able to enjoy the 50th Anniversary “Beacon of Magic” overlay.

Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more of what’s to come in Disney World for the holidays, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
