An Overlooked Magic Kingdom Attraction Will Be Closing for a Month

UPDATE: Since yesterday’s post was published, Disney World has updated their website which now shows regular operating hours for Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade from November 27th onward. We will continue to keep a close watch on the attraction and we will let you know if we hear of any additional chages.

It’s common for rides and attractions in Disney World to temporarily close for refurbishment every now and then.

Sometimes, an attraction closure pops up unexpectedly, and this one is kind of a surprise. If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom in November or December, you might want to know which attraction is closing.

Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade in Magic Kingdom is an Old West-themed shooting gallery where guests can pay to use a replica .54-caliber Hawkins buffalo rifle to “shoot” almost 100 targets.

The attraction reopened this month as a free activity, after having been closed since Disney World’s closure in March 2020. Normally open from 9AM to 9PM daily, we noticed today that Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is no longer listing hours as of November 27th, with no hours listed through December 10th. The Arcade is NOT listed on Disney World’s refurbishment calendar at this time.

We contacted Disney to confirm what is going on with this attraction and the Cast Member informed us that the Disney World schedule shows that Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade will be closed in from November 27th through December 21st.
