Hello, everyone! There’s a lot going on with Disney this week.

Of course, we’ve been busy with the 50th anniversary, which kicked off last week, but believe it or not, there’s a lot more Disney news you might have missed out on.
So we’ve put together the biggest headlines of the week so that you can stay up to date!
Disney Genie Gets A Launch Date
We finally know when Disney Genie will launch at Disney World — guests will have access to the service via the My Disney Experience app as of October 19th. We also got a full list of all 45 attractions that will be made available through the paid service Disney Genie+.

Disney also revealed pricing for its Individual Attraction Selection, with the maximum pricing being $15 per person per ride. But keep in mind this cost could change throughout the year, depending on demand.

Entertainment Returning To Disney World
Since Disney World reopened last year, we’ve gradually seen entertainment begin to return to the parks. But we had a LOT of announcements about returning entertainment this week. For starters, the nighttime show, Disney Movie Magic will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 17th.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Chakranadi and the Kora Tinga Tinga have returned to bring music to Harambe, and the Tam Tam Drummers are performing again in Africa!

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular will begin shows again on December 19th.
AND for those who’ve been missing fan-favorite bar Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk, we’ve got good news — it will reopen on October 15th.

But wait, there’s more! Modified Character Meet and Greets are also returning to Disney World. Disney announced that guests will soon be able to get “individualized time” with characters in new themed locations where they will also be able to snap a few socially-distanced photos.

Locations include Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom where guests can meet Disney Princesses. Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom where guests can meet Mickey Mouse in his new 50th anniversary outfit, Red Carpet Dreams in Disney’s Hollywood Studios where guests can meet Minnie Mouse, and Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios where guests can meet the stars of Disney Junior.

Four times a year, the Walt Disney Company shares its quarterly earnings report and hosts public earnings calls hosted by Disney CEO Bob Chapek and CFO Christine McCarthy. These reports and calls give some insight into how the company is doing financially. These calls also include future plans for the company, making them exciting for Disney fans, too.

The next earnings report, covering Disney’s fourth fiscal quarter, will be released on November 10th, with the Earnings Call taking place later that day at 4:30PM ET/1:30PM PT. We’ll certainly be on the lookout for any new announcements Disney may make then!
