When Disney World reopened last year, one BIG thing that was missing was Extra Magic Hours for Resort hotel guests.

This perk had been around for years, allowing guests staying at Disney World Resorts to gain extra hours in select parks when they were visiting. And, at the beginning of the year, Disney announced that they would be eliminating Extra Magic Hours for Disney World Resort hotel guests and replacing them with a new offering — Early Theme Park Entry. And, we’re FINALLY learning more about what this perk will look like!
Early theme park entry will give hotel guests the ability to enter the four Disney World parks 30 minutes prior to park opening every day of the week. You will need to have a Disney Park Pass Reservation for the park you’re visiting with early entry, but that means extra time to tackle the most popular rides, or grab your morning coffee!

Up until recently, Disney had only shared that this offering would roll out by the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations, but now we know more information on when early park entry will begin!
Resort Guests’ early theme park entry will resume on October 1, 2021 — yes, that’s the 50th Anniversary!

We’re excited to see this perk returning to Disney World and we will be sure to let you know all the ins and outs of what early park entry looks like when it begins! Stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!

Early hours are great but bring back fastpass. Even kids with a decent ability to wait get frustrated waiting all day… A few rides rides with that under 10 minute wait does wonders!!!! Let’s go Disney..
Have done this in the past when staying on property. Going in November and staying at an off property affiliated hotel. Will see if it works out that way.
This is so amazing!
