Hello from Magic Kingdom!
It’s a busy day here today as we’re checking out the brand-new mask policy (you know, the one that allows fully vaccinated people to go without masks everywhere except on transportation?). We’ve been taking in all the changes, so while we’re getting used to things that are different, we decided to hop on the Jungle Cruise and see what’s new. And today, there’s a brand-new ride scene!
When we got in line for the ride, we noticed that the new mask policy was definitely in effect here as well! Many guests weren’t wearing them in the queue, as they are no longer required for fully vaccinated people.
Also, plexiglass barriers had been removed from the boats, except for the ones that separate the Skipper from the guests.
Some boats were boarding guests in the middle section of seats (on the crates), while others were not. This could simply be due to a difference in party sizes, but we’ll make sure to pay attention to this going forward and see if it’s a regular thing.
Once we got through the queue, it was our turn to board. During our ride, we spotted something new in the hippo scene — it’s a sunken boat!
Remember those explorers who climbed up the pole? It looks like they lost something!
All we hope is that our journey into the jungle doesn’t end like that!
We’ll be on the lookout for more changes and additions to this ride, so stay tuned to AllEars. We’ve got the latest news and updates from Disney World to share!
