With the release of Disney’s Cruella and the upcoming debut of Marvel’s Black Widow, we’re starting to see Disney movies make their comeback in the theaters (and on Disney+) right now.
And, with even more films and series planned for 2021, we’ve already got an update on a new movie set to hit the theaters in 2022!
According to Deadline, Indiana Jones 5 will begin filming next week at various locations in the UK. They were originally set to begin filming in the summer of 2020 but experienced initial delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Though there isn’t much known about what adventure Indy will be going on in this movie, we have seen quite a few casting updates, with stars like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Boyd Holbrook joining recently.
Of course, Harrison Ford will be returning to reprise his role, and Steven Spielberg will be involved as a producer rather than as director.
The movie is set to release on July 29th, 2022, so we’ve still got a little bit of time before we go on another adventure with Indiana Jones. We will continue to keep an eye out for more updates so stay tuned for the latest!
