Harrison Ford is set to take up the whip and fedora as Indy once again in Disney and Lucasfilm’s next Indiana Jones film, but he won’t be embarking on his next adventure alone. Along with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen, two new members have joined the cast for the upcoming entry into the Indiana Jones franchise.
Although not much has been discussed in terms of plot, the film is already setting up to be filled with talent from both the large and small screen. With such a well-rounded cast, one can only hope for an expedition with plenty of character.
Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson have both been cast in unknown roles for Indiana Jones 5 according to MSN. The Indiana Jones series requires a cast of adventurers with stand-out personalities and presence and both of these performers certainly bring that to the table.
Known for his role as DEA Agent Steve Murphy on Narcos, Holbrook has already earned his stripes for an action-packed feature like an Indiana Jones film. Dealing with raiders, thieves, and other dangers should be just as perilous as facing off against Pablo Escobar and the Cali Cartel, so he’s definitely qualified for the environment. Holbrook will certainly need to bring some of Agent Murphy’s fortitude and grit into the fray with Dr. Jones.
Shaunette Renée Wilson portrays the brilliant Dr. Mina Okafor on Fox’s The Resident, proving that she can portray a position of power and intellect with incredible skill, but Disney and Marvel fans might recognize her face as one of the Dora Milaje from the beloved Black Panther. Whether her role in the new film will require the wisdom of a practiced surgeon or the cunning of a mighty warrior is still unknown, but they are both attributes that will serve her well.
One thing that can be said for certain is that both Holbrook and Wilson have their work cut out for them given the franchise’s reputation. But with the right direction from James Mangold, they should fit right in with the world’s greatest archeologist. Production is aiming to begin this summer, and fans can soon expect to join Dr. Jones on one more journey.

It would be really interesting if they brought back Willie Scott and Short Round for this movie!!!! Since Indy had a son with Marion maybe he had a daughter with Willie!!!!
In the last movie Indy married Marian and found out he had a son with her!!!! I wonder if Marian and his son are going to be in this one!!!!
