When you’re at Disney World, you likely do your fair share of eating and drinking. After all, there are so many options!

And, we’re just like every park-goer when we’re visiting and often find ourselves trying new (and old) snacks. This week we tried some treats at a Disney World Resort hotel you probably wouldn’t expect to be worth going out your way to visit and still found room for some more eats and drinks! So, let’s get right to it and talk about the best things we tried this week!
Here are the 5 BEST things we ate this week in Disney World!
Wilderness Bark Latte
We had a full three-course meal over at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort in P&J’s Southern Take Out and each snack was just as good as the next. So, let’s start off with what we had to drink — the Wilderness Bark Latte. It is a coffee with hazelnut and chocolate, plus a big drizzle of chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream and more chocolate.

The hazelnut and chocolate combine to create a Nutella-flavored coffee (!!), which has to be what Nutella fans’ dreams are made of, right?
Now, this drink isn’t new to Disney World (you can also get it at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge), but it is new to this dining location. So, now you can get your Nutella and coffee fix for $4.89.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Push Pop
Now onto what we’ll call our first “entree” at P&J’s Southern Take Out at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. The Quick Service restaurant has a variety of seasonal offerings and the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Push Pop, so we decided to give it a try. It is made with layers of yellow cake, pastry cream, and caramelized pineapple and then topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

Pretty much everything in this fun push pop is flavored pineapple, but the caramelized pineapple added the extra flavor it needed to balance out the tartness from the fruit. The treat costs $4.99, and we recommend skipping out on the push pop and getting it all onto a plate so you can get all the components in one bite.
Carrot Cake Cupcake
Now for our final course at P&J’s Southern Take Out at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Much like the specialty push pop, there was also a specialty cupcake available so we opted for it — the Carrot Cake Cupcake. It is a spiced carrot cake with cream cheese filling, buttercream icing, and a drizzling of caramel on top.

It wasn’t the most instagrammable thing we’ve ever eaten (though look at that caramel drizzle), but it was super moist and flavorful. It even had some tiny carrot pieces sprinkled inside of the cake, so that was an extra surprise. It won’t be here forever since it is a specialty item, but you can grab it now for $4.99.
Double Bacon Stack Burger
We decided to take a break from all the treats after our three-course meal of dessert and tried the new limited-time burger at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs. The Double Bacon Stack Burger is the specialty and features two-pressed signature blend patties, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and grilled onions on a house-made parker house roll.

Now, this is pretty much your basic bacon cheeseburger, but better! You can pair it with any of the signature sauces from the restaurant, or go plain Jane like us. Even without the sauce, we thought it was a high-quality burger worth the $11.49 price point.
Little Italy Cold Brew
Our last best eat from the week is actually a drink and takes us over to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs. What you may not know is that this new location serves up a few different kinds of spiked cold brews, so we decided to give one a try! We got the Little Italy which is made with cold brew, sweet cream, Amaretto Cordial, whipped cream, and wedding cookie crumble.

For a spiked coffee, we didn’t get much of the flavor from the Amaretto, but what we did get a lot of flavor from was the cookie crumbles. The little cookies were the highlight of the sweet drink and we only wish they had added more! You can give it a try yourself for $10.
Well, that wraps up another week of snacking our way around Walt Disney World! There’s always something new to try so we’ll be sure to bring you the latest on all the must-have eats and drinks around the parks and hotels so stay tuned!

For my money, D-luxe is overrated burgers. Burgers with different toppings when the base burger is meh at best. Tossing tons of toppings around doesn’t make a decent burger. A good meat mix cooked right (acknowledging that’s different for everyone) goes a longer way to a good or great burger than a different assortment of toppings.
