Things are Unraveling Quickly: 43 Thoughts I Had During WandaVision Episode 6

It’s the weekend, so you know what that means….

Ready to use my imagination…just like Wanda.

…it’s time for another episode of WandaVision!

Last week ended with a BIG surprise, and even MORE questions about what’s really going on inside the “Hex.” Who knows what this week will bring!! Will we find out who the Aerospace engineer is that Monica was talking to? Will Vision continue to question Wanda? What’s the deal with the kids — and Pietro? Will we get more Agnes this week?

I don’t know but I am ready to find out.

Spoiler alert: this is going to dig deep in WandaVision Episode 6. If you haven’t seen it, or don’t want to know what happens, turn back now!

5. DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION. Yas. I spent many a sleepover CRUSHING on that 3×3 dance floor.

6. Wanda’s costume is her superhero costume from the comics!!!!

7. “You probably suppressed a lot of the trauma.” UNDERSTATEMENT from Pietro.

8. Vision is also himself! Too cute.

9. Also Vision is clearly still mad at Wanda. Which…fair.

10. “That’s now what you’re supposed to…” Wanda is clearly still having trouble controlling Vision.

11. I’m gonna go ahead and assume that’s Quiksilver’s comic book costume too.

12. Ugh, Hayward. I’d like to be on the record again for this episode that I do not like NOR trust him one bit.

13. “Which one of you is the sassy best friend?!” Hayward proving my point that he’s an obnoxious chauvinistic jerkface, right on cue.

14. Monica made a face about Carol Danvers again. I must know what her beef with Captain Marvel is!

15. “You people that left” — as if those who snapped were on a nice, optional 5 year vacation.

16. HE DID NOT JUST BRING UP HER MOTHER. Lemme at ’em.

17. Yes GET IT Jimmy Woo.

18. There are kids in Westview now???!!!??

19. Uncle P is truly the horrible sitcom uncle that shows up and causes a ruckus.

42. Darcy!!!! At least we have Westview Darcy next week to look forward to?

43. All of us who thought we’d get answers this week:

Well ok, that was another episode of more questions…and not any real answers! Things are definitely getting fishier in Westview. Vision is onto Wanda, and seems to be working on cracking the code.

TBH, this episode feels like a little bit of a let down from last week. Sure, we can’t have a long-lost dead sibling show up every week, but we could’ve gotten a little more clarity? Maybe I’m just impatient. I also really wanted to find out who the Aerospace Engineer is that Monica has been chatting with, but I guess we have to wait again!

I’m also a little sad that it feels like we skipped the 90’s and went straight to the early 00’s. I suppose last week was a touch early 90’s but I really wanted more denim fashions and maybe some grunge?

Overall, this seemed like a set-up episode…a good set-up episode but a set-up none the less. Guess we gotta come back next week to see what’s what in Westview!

Kinda-spoiler alert: this next part is gonna get into fan-theories, which could make for potential spoilers if they pan out. Don’t read on if you don’t wanna know!

The biggest question from this episode stems from Pietro. How did he get here? Is he really dead? Or is he something much scarier? The internet has theories! Some think he’s connected to Hayward, some think he is the “witness” Jimmy mentioned in Episode 4, and others think he’s actually Mephisto in disguise.

Mephisto is a mega-villain in the Marvel comics, being the devil and all, and it’s been a fan theory that he’s involved since WandaVision. Is he behind all of this — or did Wanda make a literal deal with the devil to bring back her loved ones? There were plenty of clues that Pietro could be the devil — saying things like “charming as hell” and “demon spawn” can’t be a coincidence right? But we also see him dead, so is he just another player Mephisto is using against her?

We also still don’t know what Agnes’ deal is. I still believe the theory that she’s Agatha Harkness, a witch from the comics. I buy this one — especially considering her Halloween costume. But how involved is she? Some say her husband Ralph (who we have yet to see) is Mephisto, some say she’ll team up with Wanda.

Another interesting note is that Monica’s changing DNA may be the start of her becoming Captain Marvel, as she does in the comics.

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure — Westview keeps getting weirder and weirder.

  1. I just watched the first two episodes of Wandavision and the mandalorian for the first time today. I didn’t think I would like them but I must admit I am already addicted to both shows

  2. Since this is one of those “what the heck is going on shows” and the obvious answer is “it’s all Wanda’s doing” the obvious answer is never the right one in “what the heck is going on shows.” So there’s my guess.

Tommy and Billy are wearing their Young Avengers costumes. Once they got past being fictional and being part of Master Pandemonium’s soul (Because “comics.”) they team up with Kate Bishop (soon to be on the Hawkeye show) Ant Man’s daughter and a few more. Here’s hoping!

  3. This show has really surprised me. In the previews we all saw for over a year I really thought it was all sitcom based which I thought was really really lame, but I gave the show a chance. It’s just awesome. It really is one of the top shows marvel has done so far. I think they have to move very slow in each episode and then give us a bit of something in an episode then slow it down again. They have to make the season and next season last. We aren’t watching a movie. So the pace has to be much much slower. Just like the Mandalorian. Some episodes were slower. . . filler. . . but then others huge plot advancement.

All and all I’m really liking it. I feel so bad for Wanda. She is totally broken inside. You see it. She has lost that person she loved. You see that buildup in all the movies. You see it so well in the 2 legends shorts on Disney plus. They did a nice job of tying their whole relationship into a short. It’s like that horror movie where someone brings a loved one back to life but then finds they aren’t that same person. They are something different. It never ends well.

This kinda brings up the sad side of marvel. Now that the Thanos arc is over we have lost some great characters. We have to move on with new story arcs. This part is always hard cause you grow attached to these characters.

  4. This is why I only watch marvel movies and not marvel shows. The shows are far too complicated and hard to understand. Plus there is not enough action. The movies are way better at explaining things in a fun and exciting way. Plus the action scenes are way bigger and way more fun.

  5. I just want to apologize for my earlier comments. I think they were far too harsh and I am sorry for making them. But I totally agree with your review of this week’s episode. Things are slowing down AGAIN and I feel the story is stalling once more. I concur with your comments about Hahn and Bettany doing a great job with their acting, but I do feel everybody else didn’t have much to do. This is a bit of a climbdown from last week’s episode for sure.

  6. So quicksilver has to be a tool of someone. If he was shot, then woke up here, how did he know vision was dead? And if vision can’t remember his past, why does quicksilver? I’m on the side that this is the big thing behind the firewall that Darcy is hacking.
