Christmastime is looking a little different at the Disney World resort hotels this year!
While typically you’ll find large gingerbread house displays at the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and the Contemporary, this year Disney is forgoing the larger displays at its hotels. However, even if we’re not seeing the large displays this year, the hotels have still gotten into the holiday spirit!
Over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in the DVC area of the resort, we spotted this beauty on display in the lobby.
It’s a sculpture made of chocolate and gingerbread! The two gingerbread houses are beautifully decorated with several types of candy and lots of icing.
The houses are standing on pillars with a special surprise underneath…
Chocolate sculptures! This nutcracker is excellently decorated — very detailed! He’s surrounded by several Christmas trees and poinsettias.
We also have two friendly-looking chocolate reindeer!
And of course, it wouldn’t be a collection of Christmas creatures without Santa! He looks holly jolly and good enough to eat!
Stop by the DVC section of the resort to check out this display in person! Everything is hand-decorated by the Grand Floridian Bakery. These guys are incredibly talented!
Even though we miss the big displays, it’s so wonderful to see all the effort that Disney has put into making Christmastime as magical as ever! Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest updates on the holiday season at Disney World!
