Disney’s Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Open for 2019 Season

Something sweet has been baked over at Walt Disney World!

A holiday treat tradition is back at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and its doors are officially open for business.

That’s right, the annual gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian is back, and officially open in the lobby of the hotel!

Disney’s team of pastry chefs who worked on the house cut the ribbon to officially open this year’s display — and they had a special guest there to help them!

Also opening today is the shop within the house, where you can purchase gingerbread shingles and tons of other seasonal treats, including these gingerbread cookies!

Of course, you can’t have a Disney gingerbread house shop without a few Disney character-themed treats as well! These cookies feature the fairies from Sleeping Beauty.

  1. Hi Unfortunately there are a group of us who suffer from severe latex allergies that would not ever be able to visit your gingerbread house no matter how much we would want to because you have chosen to use latex balloons in your display.

    1. Hi Mary, We were there for the grand opening celebration. It is possible the balloons were there for the ceremony, and won’t be there all the time. The next time we visit we will check for balloons.
