After waiting and waiting for Universal Orlando to announce the VelociCoaster, we have been extremely hyped with the news the attraction will debut next summer!

As we’ve been keeping up with construction as scaffolding came down around the rock formations, we couldn’t help but stop by for views of the Jurassic World coaster’s progress today!
The highest point of the coaster will shoot up into the air and drop down to pass through Jurassic Park…

…with views of the Discovery Center and the rest of Universal’s Islands of Adventure (that are going to look gorgeous at night, we bet)!

While we were walking the expanse of the coaster’s construction area, we were able to spot the containment area where riders are held with raptors…

…before taking off from the enclosure through outdoor sections that lead to the initial part of the VelociCoaster’s twisting track.

During the ride-through, the coaster will go through drops, loops, and even some “dangerously close” turns through rock formations.

However, the Jurassic Park section of the park isn’t the only area you can spot VelociCoaster attraction in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. As you cross the bridge to enter Hogsmeade in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you can find a great view of the twists that the coaster will take when it debuts next year!

Honestly, after seeing all the progress on construction in person, we are even more excited for the VelociCoaster.

As we continue to return to Universal Orlando for our walk-throughs of the park, we’ll make sure you get a look at how the VelociCoaster is coming along!
