If You Didn’t Eat These Six Snacks, Did You Even GO to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… someone was very hungry. Yes, even in the depths of space, people have to eat.Docking Bay 7

So, the next time you make a stop at Black Spire Outpost, you’ve got to try these six snacks. They’re definitely worth the lightspeed jump.

Blue Milk and Green (The Milk Stand)

Ever since I watched Luke drink a glass of blue milk in A New Hope, I wanted to try it. Also, ever since I watched Luke drink green milk from the orifice of an alien creature in The Last Jedi, I definitely didn’t want to try it… Luckily, at Galaxy’s Edge, you can try them both, and they’re delicious!

So, I’ll be honest. Blue and Green Milk are trying to capture the same magic that Butterbeer did when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at Universal Studios. They didn’t succeed. Butterbeer is too versatile, too universally beloved to even be in the same category as these drinks. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try them. Quite the opposite, in fact. Both drinks are dairy free, semi-frozen, and feature a light fruity flavor you wouldn’t expect from something that supposedly came out of a Bantha. I make it a ritual to grab a glass whenever I visit.

Adult drinkers can get their milk with a shot of tequila or rum (at Walt Disney World only — spiked Milks aren’t available in Disneyland Park), but the real secret comes from mixing them both together. The flavors complement each other in a way that greatly exceeds the sum of their parts. Try it out next time you’re there!

Outpost Mix (Kat Saka’s Kettle)

This colorful, crunchy treat might just be flavored popcorn… but it is delicious flavored popcorn.

Coated in a fruity candy blend that reminds me of Froot Loops, the outpost mix is a unique blend of sweet and savory, and it seems tailor made to complement the offerings from the Milk Stand. As a bonus, you can even eat out of an imperial mouse droid! Awww…

Ronto Wrap (Ronto Roasters)

My go-to lunch at Galaxy’s Edge is the Ronto Wrap, a delicious sausage covered in coleslaw and pulled pork, topped with black peppercorn sauce, and wrapped in pita bread.

This is, in my humble opinion, the best hot dog-adjacent thing at Hollywood Studios, if not in all of Disney World! It snaps satisfyingly in your mouth, releasing a burst of flavor that is just irresistible. Best of all, Ronto Roasters is the perfect people watching spot, allowing you to keep an eye on characters as they skulk around Black Spire Station. Mustafarian Lava Roll (Docking Bay 7, Oga’s Cantina)

On Mustafar, this sticky sweet treat is baked with the heat of the planet’s scorching hot lava. On Batuu… it’s made in industrial ovens, probably. Either way, it’s delicious.

Mustafarian Lava Roll

A sweet, sticky cinnamon roll with a dash of pizzaz, it has a slightly more robust, spicy flavor than your typical cinnamon offering. My favorite version is the miniature one you get with the Bright Suns Breakfast Platter at Docking Bay 7, as it provides the perfect end to a balanced breakfast. Still, if you want to treat yourself, the full-sized version is big enough to share!

Oga’s Obsession — Oga’s Cantina

If you’re lucky enough to get into Oga’s Cantina, this is a must try. Served in a petri dish, this gelatin-based treat is filled with popping pearls and fizzing candies (think: Pop Rocks), providing a unique sensory experience you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. Most Galaxy’s Edge dining experiences are just an exotic coat of paint over something familiar, but Oga’s Obsession feels genuinely alien, and that’s a good thing.

Older travelers can try the Rodian Ration, which contains alcohol and comes with a green apple flavor. Still… nothing beats the original. It’s an obsession for a reason, after all.

The Soda Orbs

So, a moment of full transparency. If you’re thirsty, and you happen to be at Galaxy’s Edge… don’t buy one of these drinks. They’re smaller and more expensive than drinks offered elsewhere at the park, and you can get a fountain drink from Ronto Roasters at a lower price. These aren’t practical purchases.

What they are, however, are souvenirs. These thermal detonator-inspired soda bottles are adorable and make a perfect Star Wars themed addition to your mantle. Buy one (or all of them) and save the bottles. Then, when you’ve done that… get your drinks elsewhere. This is a one and done deal.

  1. I’m hoping you’ll clarify your statement “..the real secret comes from mixing them both together.” Do you mean mixing the blue and green milk together? That wasn’t quite clear.
