Disney Adds Hand-Washing Stations Around Parks as Precaution to Coronavirus

Disney has been following through on their commitment to protect guests from the novel coronavirus by increasing access to hand sanitizer and hand-washing stations. We’ve already spotted an increased number of hand sanitizer dispensers distributed around the park, and now we have spotted an extra precaution being taken around the parks.

Cinderella Castle

We spotted portable hand-washing stations around Magic Kingdom today, and we expect they will have been placed around the other parks as well.

These signs were spotted around Magic Kingdom, recommending actions such as cleaning hands often, covering your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, and seeking medical attention if you experience flu-like symptoms.

Hand Washing Stations

To promote hand washing throughout the park, we spotted a handful of portable hand-washing stations set up throughout Magic Kingdom.

Stations like this have emerged around the Magic Kingdom.

These stations are designed for maximum sanitation with minimal contact. Water is pumped through a foot pedal, rather than a faucet.

Not having a faucet to touch is both sanitary and practical.

Soap dispensers and paper towels are provided, along with a no-touch trash receptacle.

Portable sinks like this are common at events, and are designed for minimal hand contact.

We’ll keep you updated if we spot more of these stations throughout the parks!
