The Haunted Mansion is one of the most iconic attractions at Disney World, and a must-do at the Disney Parks on both coasts!

But, something has not been right at the home of 999 happy haunts this week, as the classic attraction has been closed at the Magic Kingdom for the past few days.
The attraction has been closed without reopening since March 3rd at Disney World. Currently, we don’t have any confirmation on why the sudden closure occurred, and a Cast Member confirmed that they did not know when the ride will be re-opening. If only we could ask Madame Leota when we’ll be able to visit the 999 happy haunts again!

Currently the attraction is listed as “Temporarily Closed” on the My Disney Experience app.

Additionally, the earliest we were able to find a FastPass option for the ride was on Sunday, March 8th.

Hopefully Haunted Mansion is up and running again soon, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more!

We were in Disney World last week and every time we tried to ride it it was closed. When we finally got on, the ride worked but there was no sound, so they gave us fast passes to another ride. My guess is it’s been having a lot of technical problems and they had to shit it down to figure out how to fix it permanently.
I called Disney World on March 5-2020 was told ride was never down and is working she even ask to make sure
Hi Rose! The ride is still currently closed at the park — at the moment, FastPass is showing up for the ride starting on Sunday, so we will be sure to keep the post updated when the ride is back up!
