A new Party for the Planet is arriving at Walt Disney World just in time for Earth Day — and Animal Kingdom‘s anniversary!

This year the annual celebration lasts for three days, April 20-22, 2019. The party will take place all across the park, and include special photo opportunities, unique character appearances, merchandise, and entertainment.

Guests will be greeted by this cute penguin (already on display) — who is made entirely of debris pulled from the oceans. He was sculpted to commemorate the newest Disneynature film Penguins, which hits theaters on April 17.
Disney animal keepers and care experts will be around for the celebration as well, ready to answer your questions about the animals, conservation, and more! Keep an eye out for special training experiences and animal feedings.

For a truly unique and unforgettable experience, you can book Tiffins Talks, which will naturally take place at the signature dining location Tiffins. Tiffin Talks will take place April 20 through April 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to dine with legendary Imagineer Joe Rohde.

Joe Rohde is the creative mastermind behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom, including the newest breathtaking land of Pandora. Join Joe for a signature four-course meal as he tells stories of his travels and career. Space is limited, so book quickly if you’d like to eat with Joe! Tiffins Talks are $199 per person (before tax and gratuity), and can be booked by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407 939-3463).

You don’t have to do a Tiffins Talk to meet Joe, though. He will be at the Mombassa Marketplace April 20 and 22 only, where he will be signing his original artwork — a commemorative lion print (above) that will be available. Rohde will be out from 10 to 11:30 a.m. both days, and wristbands are required to meet him. More information can be found here.

To commemorate the Party for the Planet, as well as the 20th anniversary of the animated classic The Lion King, adorable merchandise will be available. How cute is the Hakuna Matata Spirit Jersey? Mugs, caps, and more will also be on the shelves, specifically on Earth Day, April 22.
