Travel Channel Celebrity Samantha Brown in Epcot

Samantha Brown, the very popular Travel Channel star, was in Epcot today (Sunday) filming for an upcoming special on Walt Disney World. I was told that the special will air on the Travel Channel December 12th. Samantha and film crew were near the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. Her and her film crew, along with a number of Disney Cast Members were busy at work taping various segments for the special. A member of her crew said that she had already taped in the other three parks.

Samantha, who I think has the best job in the world, has done a number of shows on Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

  1. I think it’s on tonight (2/12/2011). There is a show on Travel Channel called “Best Places I’ve Ever Been” which features Samantha Brown talking about Disney World.

  2. We are going to WDW next week and I wanted to set my DVR to record this on the 12th, but I can’t seem to find it. Does anyone know if they changed the air date?

DizneyMike replies: Dennis, my TV guide doesn’t show programs that far ahead, so I don’t know if it’s actually on the schedule for that day or not….Mike

  3. I love Samantha Brown and have taped all of the shows she did in Dinsey. Watching them was one reason I booked a vacation during the holidays. The travel channel needs to do a multi disk set on all of her Disney shows. I know at least 4 people that would buy them. It is my mini Disney vacation when I can’t get down there or I am having a bad day they always pick me up. Sam needs to do one on the Mickey’s not so scary halloween party to make it a complete set.

  4. Samantha is as sweet as they come…. I have recorded every Disney show she’s ever done.

I have wished for years that the Travel Channel would have a sweepstakes where the Grand Prize is “A Disney Vacation with Sam.”
There is no person in the world that I’d rather go to Disney with than Sam. I’m sure it would be the most fun I’ve ever had at Disney World.

  5. I’m so excited to see her new special on Dec 12th. I enjoy all the specials she does on Walt Disney World, and Disneyland. As a matter of fact I have them all on tape. I have even taped the ones she has done on the different Disney hotels. The only prob is my VCR is broke, and I don’t know how I will be able to tape this new one.

  6. We sat next to Samantha Brown at Jiko on Sunday night. She was extremely friendly and took time to talk. I look forward to seeing the special when it airs.

  7. Ohhh I can’t wait to see it! I DVR any and all Disney specials like that and watch them more than once… Cannot wait to see this one! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

  8. I have always loved her Disney shows. I with Travel Channel and/or Disney would have released some of them on DVD, especially when she did specific shows on some of the hotels a few years back.

  9. I had just bought my wife a Grand Marnier slush (you know, THE Grand Marnier slush) when Sam and crew walked up behind us. We got to chat for a few seconds, and she graciously posed for a picture with my wife. With the slush!!! Dave Smith a couple of weeks ago, now Samantha Brown; Epcot is my favorite park.

  10. Mike: Thanks for the heads up. I always enjoy her shows, but especially the Disney ones (and the U.S. ones–I’ve grown a bit tired of her traveling around the world as I think the best place on earth is right here in the good ol’ USA). I often think she does have the best job in the world, but, we have to realize that when it looks like she’s on vacation, she’s working–she doesn’t get to enjoy the same experiences we do. She also doesn’t get to be anonymous like we do when touring the parks. I’m sure it can get tiresome. My perfect job would be to travel and write about the experience whilst no one knew who I was. Now that’s a dream job!

  11. I love Samantha Brown—her show on Disney at Christmas is the reason I will be at Disney World when her new show airs.

  12. I like Samantha Brown and always enjoy her shows. BTW, in the second picture of this blog, she looks like she’s getting ready to spit! Ah, what the camera can capture in a moment of time.

  13. I love Samantha Brown and all of her shows. She is the best when doing Disney shows, I think she loves Disney like the rest of us and it shows.

  14. I am a huge Sam Brown fan and they never show enough of her on the Travel Channel anymore! My husband and my parents love her too! I’m bummed I missed her, but I’m looking forward to meeting you Mike! One more week and I’ll be in Epcot too!

  15. I wish I were Samantha Brown. She does have the best job in the world, and she does it SO well! I can’t wait to see the newest show on the 12th. I’ll have to get my DVR ready.

  16. I am super envious of Samantha Brown’s life. I also am excited because I just about memorized her other Disney episodes, which just means I need a new one 🙂

  17. I met Samantha Brown when she was filming on MainStreet in the MK a few years ago. She was so nice. She was willing to chat and take pictures.

  18. Do you know if the Travel Channel is planning a single show covering all four parks or multiple shows for each park? Also, Samantha Brown has been doing some shows based on various cruise ships, lately. I wonder if a show on the Disney Dream is in the works.

DizneyMike replies: Steve, I don’t have any other info other than the show airs on December 12th. My guess is that it’s just one show combining all the parks…Mike

  19. We saw her over by France with her crew. Took pictures with anyone who asked and was incredibly sweet. I called her “Ms. Brown” and she insisted that I call her Sam.
