Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Pavilion – Hidden Mickeys

Disney hosted an “open house” recently at the Wedding Pavilion next to the Grand Floridian Resort. Inside the Pavilion, I enjoyed a question and answer session with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons staff. They told us some interesting stories about their Disney ceremonies. For example, imagine a wedding reception (after park hours) inside The Great Movie Ride, with appetizers, dinner and dessert set up in different scenes of the attraction (of course, Munchkinland has to be the place for dessert!)

Accompanied by (left to right in the photo) Coleen, Margeaux (in her Alice in Wonderland outfit) and my wife Vickie, I explored inside Franck’s Studio, next to the Wedding Pavilion.

The Studio was filled with wedding merchandise, and we found classic Hidden Mickeys made of jewels on many of the items, including a pillow

Margeaux and Coleen spotted a repeating image of three small red flowers on the floor carpet inside the Wedding Pavilion. Are these images Hidden Mickeys? Let me know what you think!

It’s no surprise to us Disney fans, but Disney can surely create Wedding magic!

  1. Steve,
I always look forward to your posts, this one especially. My wife and I were married at the Wedding Pavilion on 2/2/09. I have a neat Hidden Mickey that I’d like to send you, where can I send it to?
    Thank you,
    Terry
