If you’re sailing with the Disney Cruise Line, you have to know the rules are about to change!

The Disney Cruise Line is busy expanding these days, and with that comes new experiences, dining options, and rules. While we wait for the new ships ahead, Disney is busy updating some rules on their current ships that might seriously impact some of your plans. We’re here to remind you that those rule changes start this week!
In case you forgot, some big Disney Cruise Line rules change this week! First, the ever-popular door decorating rules are getting an update. One of the sweetest parts of going on a Disney Cruise is seeing all of the decorations through the hallways on the cabin doors. People go BIG for these decorations, and they personalize them depending on what they’re celebrating, the characters they love, or the people they’re with.

Starting on June 3rd, Disney has shared that decorations will no longer be allowed on nearby hallway walls or ceilings. This means you can still decorate your door, but it can ONLY be your door and not the surrounding areas. They also stressed that guests shouldn’t place anything valuable on their doors that they might not want to lose. You cannot use tape, glue, or other adhesives to decorate your door. That means magnets only!

They also stressed that door decorations cannot play sound, music, or videos, so you don’t disturb other guests. The rule changes aren’t just for outside the stateroom, though. Disney has also shared that over-the-door hanging organizers are now prohibited. They shared that these hanging organizers can cause scratches or damage to stateroom doors and trim.

Disney’s alcohol policy is also getting a major update. Disney doesn’t offer a typical drink package on its cruise ships, but in the past, guests who were 21 or older could bring 2 bottles of wine or 6 beers per person. Now, guests who are 21+ are limited to one bottle of wine per person or 6 beers per person. They have lowered the corkage fee from $29 to $20, though for those who bring their own wine on board and ask their servers to open and serve it to them in the main dining room.

Again, all of these changes begin on June 3rd! If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
These rule changes impact some of the most popular aspects of Disney Cruises, so don’t be caught unaware. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more.
