REVIEW: This NEW Disney Treat Is 7 Layers of Pure Bliss

We’ve been to Animal Kingdom a lot lately. Between saying goodbye to DinoLand, USA, getting our last rides on DINOSAUR, and checking on the new land, Pueblo Esperanza, there’s so much to do. But when we stopped in Africa for a snack break, we discovered our new favorite sweet treat!

Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery is a quick-service stand in the Africa area of Animal Kingdom. They make coffee and pastries all day with wraps and bowls for lunch. We love their Mickey Cinnamon Roll and Chocolate Twist, so we had to check out the new 7-Layer Bar!

The 7-Layer Bar is at Kusafiri for $5.79. It’s a graham cracker crust with coconut, pecans, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips with a sweetened condensed milk filling that’s topped with Maldon Salt. It sounds like a lot, but we loved all seven layers.

It’s a very thick bar, with each ingredient truly being its own layer – we could taste every single ingredient with each bite. It has a nice, sweet, and salty flavor; the salty nuts and seeds well complement the uber sweet condensed milk filling.

We loved the texture of the 7-Layer Bar too; it’s like a next-level cookie bar. It managed to be chewy, crunchy, soft, and gooey all at the same time! It was a great mix of textures that made it one of the most unique dessert options we’ve tried at Disney World.

If you’re not feeling sweet and salty, you’ll love their Chocolate Twist for $6.49. It’s a light and flaky pastry with sweet chocolate and creamy custard stuffed inside.
