I’ve Tried 11 NEW Menu Items in EPCOT, and I Can’t Stop Thinking About This One

EPCOT’s GEO-82 just pulled a fast one on me in the best way!

Admittedly, the appeal of “another” Disney World lounge just didn’t thrill me, and I truly thought I would be walking into another lackluster experience. However, all that changed when I laid eyes on it myself and dug into the menu. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience this lounge twice already, and I need you to hear me loud and clear when I say there’s ONE menu item I’m still dreaming about!

Disney World just recently welcomed its newest lounge in EPCOT and it’s an absolute curveball of a space! Not only is it located around the backside of (no, not water) Spaceship Earth — arguably the most notable ride building in all of EPCOT — it’s stunning on the inside!

These windows are incredible!

The entire place is decked out in shades of shimmering gold tones that beckon you to step inside and stay for a spell. You access the lounge from the West side of Spaceship Earth as you enter Project of Tomorrow and you’ll spot its entranceway that leads you down the hall and to the check in desk.

Did I mention it’s also the ONLY place you’ll get close enough around Spaceship Earth to actually touch it’s geodesic exterior?!

While that was a shining moment for me personally, and the welcoming vibe is enough to invite you in, it’s the menu you’ll find here that really draws you in. If you were already intrigued by the lounges golden hues, plush seating arrangements, lavish light fixtures, and expansive bar seating, imagine for a moment how these small bites and drinks look (and taste)!

Welcome in!

I knew if Disney’s creative and culinary teams had spent so much time and attention to the details in the space of this new lounge, the menu surely had to blow me away. And, luckily for me that’s exactly how that turned out.

Menu

I’ve tried a whopping 11(!!) of the brand-new menu items served in this 21 and older lounge and each of them I could go on and on about. But, since you’ve pressed me on it, there’s one particular dish that I’ve got my sights set on for my next visit back (and I’ve been raving about to my husband ever since). Feast your eyes on the Chef’s Selection of Artisanal Cheeses, Cured Meats, and Accompaniments.

It’s not just your standard “cheese board” there’s so much MORE here than meets the eye. I’ve eaten literally DOZENS of charcuterie and cheese boards around Disney World’s parks, hotels, and Disney Springs restaurants and not ONE of them have left me truly enamored like this one did. I’ll be the first to admit it’s pricey, but for good reason. Each of the cheeses on this board were filling and were accompanied by various meats, sweet spreads, and breads, which provided incredible flavor combinations across all of them.

So much to chose from

The pungent cheese flavors were aggressive and very flavorful, and the meats were high quality, thinly sliced (making them easier to stack for a bite), and enough to satisfy two people sharing the whole board.

Cheese!

The breads on the board were cranberry loaf, pecan brittle, and a toasted, buttery baguette. Each of them perfectly portioned, nothing too oily, and overall the right choices to pair with such flavored cheese options. Quincy and I had to physically stop ourselves from licking the plate because it was perfection!

Bread

In fact, I’m not sure Disney World will ever be able to create this lighting in a bottle at another lounge. Everything was just right about it — the portion, the flavors, the drinks that paired with it, right down to the relaxed atmosphere.

So many combinations

I mentioned this one was pricey before, but now that I’ve got your taste buds tingling in anticipation, it’s time to let you in on just how much we’re talking.  You can try your own (or share it with someone else) when you visit GEO-82 on your next visit for $29.
