There are many different ways to travel, especially to our favorite Disney Parks.

Over in Europe, traveling by train is much more common and (often) more affordable than it is here in the United States. While we do have some railways, like Brightline at the Orlando International Airport (MCO), we’re not quite at the level of trains in Europe. In the next decade, train travel could get even EASIER in Europe, that is, if Eurostar’s new plans are approved.
According to TimeOut, Eurostar just announced plans to allow for direct train travel between London St Pancras and Germany and Switzerland! Travelers could be seeing these new routes as early as the 2030s.

In the next decade, a fleet of up to 50 new trains — costing around £1.7 billion total — will bring people from London to Geneva and Frankfurt, just to name two of the stops planned. To get to Frankfurt, your trip will take around 5 hours, while traveling to Geneva will take around 5 hours and 20 minutes.

Now, these trains are still a few years away, at least, as the passenger stations will need to be able to handle the influx, new border checkpoints would need to be established, and secure access to the tracks would also be required. However, many people these days are looking to travel more sustainably and don’t mind a longer train ride if it means avoiding flying, so the demand for more trains is certainly there.

Eurostar currently has multiple trains that can take you to Disneyland Paris from London, as well as the heart of Paris, so it’s possible that more routes could give residents in Germany and Switzerland an easier way to get to the park without needing to drive or fly.
