Disney World’s Genie+ system was updated to the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass (previously Individual Lightning Lanes) systems in July 2024.

Like Genie+, Disney is continuing to use a surge pricing system for both Lightning Lane systems. This means that the price of Multi Pass and prices of Single Pass rides fluctuate from day to day, usually based on how busy the parks are predicted to be that day. Unlike Genie+, we can see the prices for Multi Pass and Single Pass over 20 days in advance. Because of that, we know when Multi Pass will hit its highest price in nearly 30 weeks!
When planning your Disney World vacation, you can now book Lightning Lanes in advance. This is a huge and useful change from the previous Genie+ system. Guests staying at a Disney World resort or participating hotel, such as the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, or Shades of Green, may book their Lightning Lanes up to seven days in advance for the length of their stay. All other guests can book them three days in advance for the length of their stay. Advance Lightning Lanes are available for Multi Pass and Single Pass.

If you’re planning a trip to Disney World on October 26th, you’ll want to be prepared for when it comes time to book your Lightning Lanes. Magic Kingdom will have its highest price for Multi Pass since April 6th, 2024, before Genie+ went away! Hollywood Studios will reach a record-high Multi Pass price on October 21st, which it then hits again on October 26th.

The prices for Lightning Lane Multi Pass by park on October 26th will be as follows:
- Magic Kingdom — $35
- EPCOT — $24
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios — $29
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom — $19

October 25th is another day of high Multi Pass prices with Magic Kingdom hitting $32, EPCOT $26, Hollywood Studios $27, and Animal Kingdom $19. This likely means that Disney is anticipating these two days, October 25th and 26th, to be busy days in the parks.

You do not need to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Passes to enjoy your day at Disney World. We tested out using Lightning Lane vs. not using it, so check out our video below for more information and tips and tricks! However, if you do plan on using it in the upcoming weeks, be prepared for price increases.
