Disney Just Sneakily Changed the Name of a NEW Lounge

When a new Instagram account was created for a Broken Spell Lounge at Disneyland Hotel, we knew we needed to stop by to check it out.

At the end of September, we found a new Instagram account for a Broken Spell Lounge along with a post saying that the lounge was coming soon. Color us intrigued, so we headed off on an adventure!

We stopped by the Disneyland Hotel to see if there had been any changes. The first thing we noticed was this new sign that points to the Broken Spell Lounge. We discovered that this sign is pointing to what used to be called The Lounge but is now called the Broken Spell Lounge.

The sign was the one we saw in the Instagram post by Broken Spell Lounge which said “Coming soon! (But open now).” We don’t know if Disney is just changing the name or if more changes are in store for the Broken Spell Lounge.

We continued to The Lounge/Broken Spell Lounge to see if there had been any changes. Currently, the Broken Spell Lounge is identical to its predecessor, The Lounge. The Lounge opened up in October 2023 when it replaced the former Steakhouse 55 Lounge. You will find the lounge right next to Goofy’s Kitchen.

The lounge is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4PM until close. There is also live entertainment available Thursday through Sunday at 5PM, 6:15PM, and 7:30PM. While we didn’t spot anything new yet at the Broken Spell Lounge besides the name change, there could be potential updates in the future.

For all the similarly curious people out there, the top photo was taken by our reporter on September 29th, 2024. New signage had been placed in the hallway directing guests to the Broken Spell Lounge instead of The Lounge, but everything looks pretty much the same as it did in October 2023 (as you can see in the photo below).
