Heads Up! A Disneyland Attraction Will Be Temporarily Closing Soon

A beloved Disney California Adventure attraction will be closing temporarily soon!

While the closure will only be temporary for refurbishment, we want to make sure you aren’t caught by surprise if you have an upcoming Disneyland vacation. 

The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will be undergoing refurbishment beginning November 4th, 2024. Disney has not yet announced a reopening date for the attraction. This attraction is located in the Paradise Gardens Park area of Disney California Adventure.

So far, we know the attraction will be at least closed through November 12th, as we can still see no times posted through that date. The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is a classic dark ride that tells Ariel’s story. You board a colorful clamshell and head “under the sea” where you encounter scenes and characters from The Little Mermaid movie.

Attractions routinely undergo refurbishment, so the closure of The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure is nothing out of the ordinary. We continually update this page to provide you with the most up to date information.

We will continue to monitor the attraction and keep you updated as we learn more about a reopening date. Make sure you stop by before November 4th if you are hoping to get one last ride in before the attraction temporarily closes!
