This TALKING Dog in Disney World Was Not On Our Bingo Card Today

Character meet and greets are some of our favorite parts of a Disney World day.

Goofy and Max!

We love getting to chat with our favorite characters and take adorable pictures to show off once we’re home. However, meet and greets don’t always stay the same — sometimes they change up on us, and while we’ve been able to meet this character in Disney World, we haven’t been able to CHAT with him like this before!

Currently, you can meet Russell and Dug from Pixar’s film Up in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as see Kevin from the film wandering around. Typically, none of these friends chat, BUT that all changed today!

Hey Dug!

Dug was roaming around the park actually TALKING with guests! When we’ve seen Dug in Animal Kingdom before, he was stationed at the Wilderness Explorers Club House with Russel, and he wasn’t quite so talkative. That all seemed to change today.

Hi, Dug!

As of now his character meet and greet isn’t listed on the My Disney Experience App, and he was only roaming today. A character attendant with Kevin also told us that there aren’t any set-in-stone plans for talking Dug yet, but it sounds like we could be seeing him again, so we’re crossing our fingers we’ll see him again soon!

Hi, Dug!

We have seen talking Dug before in Disneyland for Pixar Fest, which was so much fun! He had lots to tell us about like how much he can smell and that he’s a good boy (we believe him)! We’re hoping the positive response means we’ll get to interact with him more soon. You can see our interaction with Dug in Disneyland below!
