WARNING: You Might Not Get to Ride Disney World's Most Popular Rides Today

The Spring Break crowds continue in Disney World!

For the past several days, we’ve been keeping an eye on the crowds and wait times as thousands of visitors flock to Disney World for Spring Break…and boy, has it been BUSY! Now we’re back with another update from Thursday, March 14th.

This morning, we opened the My Disney Experience app to check on wait times and Genie+ availability, and we found some very interesting information!

By 9:25AM (just 25 minutes after the last park, EPCOT, opened at 9AM), all five Individual Lightning Lanes were sold out for the day! These rides include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage.

The Lightning Lane access to these five rides is not included with Genie+ and has to be purchased individually (thus, why they’re called Individual Lightning Lanes). People staying at a Disney-owned hotel can purchase these Individual Lightning Lanes starting at 7AM, but those staying off-site have to wait until the park opens to buy them.

At 9:25AM, all four parks and the multi-park option were still available to purchase for Genie+, but by 10:40AM the multi-park Genie+ option had sold out for the day.

So if you’re heading to Disney World today, be prepared for those heavy crowds! Lightning Lane availability is likely going to be scarce for Genie+, so make sure to stay on top of booking them whenever they’re available to you. Setting alarms on your phone to notify you would be a good idea!
