Don't Let This EPCOT CLOSURE Catch You Off Guard

If you’ve visited EPCOT over the past few years, you’ve probably had to walk around all kinds of construction and literally had to relearn how to get around the park.

Well, the good news is that the majority of the construction is complete, and all those walkways that were once behind construction walls are now available again. So what does that mean for those temporary walkways Disney opened to help people get across the park? Well, now we know.

The World Celebration area of EPCOT finally opened in December 2023, which finally allowed an easier way to get from point A to B in that part of EPCOT. The new area features new gardens, trees, seating, and charging stations. This area was completely blocked off during construction, though, which meant that a walkway was needed to get you from the front entrance to The Seas Pavilion.

Now that this area is open, though, the walkway is not needed at the moment, and as a result, it’s officially blocked off. So you’ll have to learn a NEW way around EPCOT again, but the new way is far more convenient.

What EPCOT might do with this area, or how it will replace that construction wall is still anyone’s guess, but it just goes to show that things are still changing in EPCOT.

We’re also still waiting to see the completed CommuniCore Plaza and CommuniCore Hall, which are still under construction at the park.

CommniCore Hall will be an indoor space that will support festival programming. It will be able to host food demonstrations in its demonstration kitchen and mixology bar, as well as offer exhibition and gallery space. CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor area that will be able to host both big and small concerts that will extend to the nearby gardens.
