Haunted Mansion Announces Temporary CLOSURE in Disneyland

It may be summer, but Disneyland is already gearing up for Halloween!

Oogie Boogie Bash tickets recently went on sale and had technical difficulties due to high demand. We also know that the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday is set to return in 2023 and Disney just released an important update about it!

We already knew that Haunted Mansion Holiday was set to open on September 1st, 2023…but Cast Members need some time to set up the ride overlay! Haunted Mansion will close on August 14th so that the holiday overlay can be set up.

With this overlay, Nightmare Before Christmas characters take over the iconic attraction and you’ll get to see Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, Lock, Shock, Barrel, and a few of their friends. There is no set end date for the overlay just yet, but it typically lasts through the Halloween and Christmas season.

Haunted Mansion isn’t the only ride getting a makeover in Disneyland this year — Disney previously announced that the “it’s a small world” holiday overlay would return in 2023!
