Another week has passed us by as Disney Parks embrace the holiday season.

A lot happened this week, and we know it can be difficult to keep up with every single Disney news story. So we’re breaking down the top Disney news stories of the week to get you all caught up.
Disney World Price Updates
There were some HUGE price updates for Disney World this week. First, Disney World has introduced surge pricing for park tickets that will begin on December 8th. This is for 1-day 1-park tickets, and the new pricing will be based on the park, as well as specific demand for the day that ticket will be used. Here’s what the new pricing will look like:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $109-$159 (same range as today)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $124-$179
- EPCOT: $114-$179
- Magic Kingdom: $124-$189

Note that this new pricing does NOT affect multi-day tickets. Ticket add-ons, though, like park hopping, will also be subject to surge pricing.
In addition, the prices for Annual Passes will also go up as of December 8th. Although the Pixie Dust Pass will stay at its current price, all other passes will cost more:
- Incredi-Pass: going from $1,299 to $1,399 ($100 increase)
- Sorcerer Pass: going from $899 to $969 ($70 increase)
- Pirate Pass: going from $699 to $749 ($50 increase)
- Pixie Dust Pass: staying at $399 (no change)

Interestingly enough, only the Pixie Dust Pass is available for new purchases. All other Passholder sales are still on hold. However, existing passholders at all levels can renew their passes.

Big Change to Dining Policy
Disney World recently changed its dining policy — it now allows guests to cancel most dining reservations up to two hours in advance without any cancellation fees. The previous policy only allowed guests to cancel 24 hours in advance without cancellation fees.

Disneyland also made this change: guests can now cancel certain dining reservations within a two-hour window without being charged cancellation fees.

EPCOT Festival of the Holidays
The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is less than a week away, so we’re starting to get some updates about this year’s upcoming festival. First, we now have the FULL menus for all the food coming to this year’s event. Guests will be able to snack on holiday snacks like slow-roasted turkey, cinnamon-glazed nuts, peppermint bark, and more.

We also got a sneak peek at some of the merchandise we’ll be seeing at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, including a spirit jersey, a Dooney & Bourke bag, a MagicBand, pins, and more!

Blizzard Beach Reopens
Blizzard Beach closed earlier this year, but recently reopened — and there have been some BIG changes. Most of these changes happened in Tike’s Peak, the area for small children: new Frozen decor has been added to the park!

We also spotted some new snacks, like the Orange Slope Dole Whip Swirl and the Watta-Melon Passion Lemonade.
