Crowd levels in the Disney World theme parks can vary by day and by season, with weekends and holiday periods tending to have the larger crowds.

Yesterday, we gave you a look at the wait times and whether those DROPPED with holiday crowds this Memorial Day Weekend. Today, we’re giving you a peek at what the crowds are like on Memorial Day itself. Are the Disney World’s parks extremely packed? What do the crowd levels look and feel like right now? We’re sharing all the details with you!
Today we had some of our reporters in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT to get a look at all of the new things going on there. During their time in the parks, they also shared a peek at the crowd levels. We’ll start in Magic Kingdom.
As we were getting ready to walk right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. there were some people around, but still plenty of pockets of open space.

On Main Street, U.S.A. itself there were quite a lot of people, but still some pockets of empty space.

It just all depended on where you were standing and the flow of the crowds.

In Liberty Square there were people walking around, enjoying some snacks…

…and we found a decent amount of people walking and sitting around Frontierland. But, again, there were some spots with more space.

Over by more popular places, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, there were some bigger crowds.

There were also some lines in front of popular restaurants, like Gaston’s Tavern.

But, in some places, like over in Adventureland near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, there was a LOT of open space!

The crowd levels throughout the park really varied depending on where you were.

What about over at EPCOT? Our reporter in EPCOT mentioned that it felt like a weekend day, with bigger crowds than what you’d probably see during a weekday in Disney World. But, they said it didn’t feel particularly busier than an ordinary weekend day.

When our reporter first walked in, Spaceship Earth had a decent sized line. But, by later in the day it was essentially a walk-on.

Over near the Norway pavilion, the line for Frozen Ever After was unsurprisingly long.

And it will probably come as no shock to you that the Mexico pavilion was also pretty busy (as it can get during holiday times).

But, other areas around World Showcase had a lot of space for guests to spread out.

Overall, there were some essentially weekend-sized crowds in the parks, and pockets of busy areas coupled with pockets of empty space.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates about the crowd levels in Disney World, particularly as capacity continues to gradually increase during the next few months. Stay tuned for more details!
