NEWS: Emilia Clarke Joins Cast For New Original Marvel Series

We’ve been having fun digging into all The Falcon and the Winter Soldier theories and details, and we miss our weekly WandaVision check-ins, but there is still more to come! These shows are just two of the many new original Marvel series coming to Disney+ in the next few years, and today we’ve got another update on an upcoming series!

According to Variety, Emilia Clarke will be joining the cast of Marvel’s original Disney+ series, Secret Invasion. The exact role that she will play has not yet been released, but the well-known Game of Thrones actress is reportedly in final talks with Marvel Studios.

The new Marvel series will pick up after the events of Captain Marvel and follow Nick Fury and Skrull Talos (from the shape-shifting alien race) in what Disney has described as the “biggest crossover comic event in the past 20 years besides Civil War.”

Actors Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn have already been confirmed to be reprising their role in the new series and other popular stars are reportedly in discussions for other roles in the show.
