Recently, we’ve seen a lot of work happening around Magic Kingdom’s icon, Cinderella Castle.

A few days ago, walls went up around the castle stage, with a line of bushes to block the view. Then, we noticed that the moat was being drained near the castle. What could be going on over there? Well, now we’ve got some more details and new photos.
When we walked down the castle ramp today, we noticed that the stage area looked VERY different than it usually does!

First of all, the whole area is flat. It used to be multiple heights and levels. Here’s what it looked like before…

…and here’s what it looks like now. The other platforms are gone, and now we’ve got a glimpse at what’s underneath the stage’s main level.

It looks like they’re changing out the flooring, and only about half of the stage is completed so far.

We’re not sure if this is going to change the look of the stage or not, we’ll just have to wait and see. This could be just routine maintenance, as Disney hasn’t released any details on this construction.

No matter what’s going on here, we’ll make sure to keep an eye out for more changes and any new information. In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for the latest refurbishment news!
