But, while it feels like we’re moving in the right direction with new releases, there’s been another change to international travel that may impact the production of upcoming Disney films and series.

According to Deadline, the UK Government has altered its Coronavirus travel restrictions and removed film and TV production from the travel exemption list. This means that, now, international travelers arriving in Britain to participate in filming will need to self-isolate for 10 days.

Traveling by air is slowly but steadily returning

This update covers all productions not involved in essential work and means that producers will have to add extra time to their shooting schedule. England does offer a Test to Release program, where travelers can pay for a private Coronavirus test five days after their arrival and be released from self-isolation early if they produce a negative test result but likely not all productions will participate.

Disney’s upcoming films Black Widow and The Eternals

In the past year, we’ve seen delays in the release of many Disney films, such as Black Widow and The Eternals, with the hope that the films could debut in theaters.
