PHOTOS! Magic Kingdom's Entrance Sign Transformation is Well Underway!

The entrance to Magic Kingdom is getting a royal makeover ahead of the park’s (and Disney World’s) 50th anniversary! Several projects have already been completed or are well underway to commemorate this major milestone, like Cinderella Castle’s rosy pink transformation.

Work has already begun to give the main entrance to the parking area a fresh coat of paint, and we were able to check out the progress on our most recent trip to the park!

While the transformation has only reached the first couple of letters in its “welcome” sign, we can get a good idea at just how different the entrance will look when the work is completed!

The sign will be magically transformed to a darker royal navy hue, and the letters will change from silver to gold! The flags are also being swapped out for a gold variation, symbolic of 50th anniversaries.

Crews were actively working on the sign as we entered the park this morning!
