It’s the news that all of us have been waiting for (but none of us will be majorly surprised by) in Universal Orlando!

Before we get into the giant project that Universal Orlando has been trying to divert our attention away from, let’s take a second to recap what else has been happening in the parks! Halloween Horror Nights is back in a new lite form with fan-favorite snacks, new sections of the Tribute Store, and a whole lot of merchandise.
But, the fun doesn’t stop there because spooky season has also brought us two daytime houses, the return of Twisted Taters, a grown-up scavenger hunt, and trick-or-treating.

Although Universal Orlando has been pretty HHN heavy right now (understandably), there was a secret announcement that we all missed when we were too busy being scared of the Tooth Fairy! We’ve been keeping an eye on the supposedly-named VelociCoaster with progress updates and a few overhead aerial shots of the attraction’s construction.

But, Universal has been holding off on actually naming the attraction as it’s been coming along in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure. Well, that is until now (finally). Universal just announced that the attraction would be the Jurassic World VELOCICOASTER.

Although Universal Orlando has hidden away the attraction’s name confirmation, we aren’t surprised that the parks went with that catchy of a ride title. The statement does also say that the attraction will be making its debut in the Summer of 2021, so we all have something to look forward to next year!

While we don’t have many other details about what the VelociCoaster’s ride experience will entail, guests will be able to “race through the jungle alongside raptors”. As Universal Orlando releases more information about the upcoming attraction, we’ll make sure you know everything about Jurassic World’s VelociCoaster!
Tag along with us as we explore Universal’s modified Halloween Horror Nights in the parks!
