We’ve been keeping you updated regarding the Coronavirus outbreak in relation to the Disney Parks.

Today, Disneyland Paris released an official statement on the Coronavirus outbreak, on the same day it was reported that a nighttime maintenance worker for Disneyland Paris tested positive for the Coronavirus
According to Reuters, a maintenance worker at Disneyland Paris tested positive for Coronavirus over the weekend. In regards to the worker, a spokesperson for Disneyland Paris confirmed that “the worker has not been in contact with visitors and the park remains open.”

In a statement from two medical doctors for the resort, Disney assured that the COVID-19 situation is being carefully monitored and they are in regular contact with health agencies for guidance. Similarly to the statement from Disney World, they have confirmed that precautionary sanitation measures are being implemented. Additionally, in regards to illness prevention for Cast Members, they have recommended the following preventative actions to stop the spread of germs:
- Staying home and wearing a mask when sick (upon medical prescription)
- Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available)
- Following proper respiratory cough etiquette (i.e. cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or tissue, not your hands)
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
- Refraining from shaking hands and hugging or kissing when meeting someone
