There are so many fun and massive things heading to Disney World, from Monstroplis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

However, we can’t help but be most excited for Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom. Why? Because it feels like we get new construction updates multiple times a month. We can’t help but keep our eyes peeled for the new land that’s on the way, which is why we have more updates to show you!
You know we love our good friend @biorecosntruct for all the cool aerial photos we get around Disney World. Well, more have been posted of construction happening at Piston Peak.

This aerial photo shows sand being placed between the “existing grade of Frontierland and the retaining wall of Piston Peak National Park.”

With a look at this new construction update, there’s something interesting that fans of Rivers of America will want to see. After Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America closed, many loyal Disney fans were upset. The coping got a little easier when the concept art of Piston Peak included a water feature that had a waterfall and water running through much of the new land.

With these new aerial photos, it seems like the current bridge will continue to be above a body of water. We saw sand being placed in the aerial photos above, but did you notice the photo also shows the current bridge in Frontierland that looks like it will be above a body of water (the black bridge on the left)?

We’re really looking forward to this year’s D23 Expo, because we think we’ll be getting a ton of detail and insight on what’s to come with the new land. We know that one of the attractions featured will be an off-road-style ride similar to Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure, which is exciting enough.
