REVIEW: This Is Yet ANOTHER Controversial Disneyland Paris Meal

Come with us to Disneyland Paris for our latest food review!

Rosalie

We recently crossed the pond to visit the BRAND-NEW World of Frozen at the newly-named Disney Adventure World at the Disneyland Paris Resort, so you KNOW we had to try some specialty eats! For this review, we headed to Brasserie Rosalie, where we tried a classic entrée.

Disney Vacation Planner

Brasserie Rosalie is located just opposite Lake Disney in the heart of Disney Village and offers both indoor and outdoor seating (seasonally).

Indoor seating

This table-service brasserie serves up timeless classics, including French favorites like onion soup, Burgundy snails, roasted French chicken supreme, mussels in Isigny cream sauce, and profiteroles. There is also a counter option — Le Comptoir– for a selection of on-the-go sandwiches, salads, and pastries.

The lone item we tried during our visit was the Classic Pepper Steak with French Fries for €27.50.

Classic Pepper Steak and French Fries

This dish is simple, but a great steak is hard to top, so it had some lofty expectations despite the inconsistencies we’ve experienced with Disneyland Paris food over the years.

A closer look at the steak

This was okay! The steak was cooked to our medium-rare request, and it did have a nice pink center, but it was oddly served fairly cold. We’re used to our steaks being served piping hot, so this was rather confusing. Maybe it was left to rest just a little too long? The flavor was still there, though, and it was seasoned wonderfully.

The cook was good

The fries were a bit floppy but still tasty and salty.

Fries

The pepper sauce was on the thinner side and added a nice glossiness to the steak after you dipped it in it. It certainly delivered that pepper flavor we were hoping for! Notably, this pairs well with a good red wine.

Red wine!

Overall, this was a mixed bag. Why on earth the steak was served cold is beyond us, but it definitely knocked our opinion of the steak down a few pegs. We think this offering was below average for a French steak frites meal, but for Disneyland Paris’ sketchy food reputation, this is a step in the right direction. Just — please Disney — don’t serve up cold food unless it’s warranted!
