REVIEW: In a Sea of Lackluster Food, This Mickey-Shaped Treat Is a MUST at Disneyland Paris

We have been searching around the world for the best Mickey-shaped snack. This isn’t an exaggeration; we have literally been to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, and across the United States to see where the best Mickey snack lives!

Fry and I in Disneyland Paris!

It’s been an arduous search, and our most recent stop was in Disneyland Paris! We rode everything, put both parks to the test, and found what might be a near-perfect Mickey-shaped treat.

Many Mickey Mouse-shaped treats are famous in the Disney parks. You can try Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey ice cream sandwiches, Mickey waffles, and so many more. In Disneyland Paris, their most famous mouse tribute might just be the Mickey Beignet at the Cookie Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A.

The Cookie Kitchen!

When we saw the name, we expected a Mickey Beignet to be more like the ones from Scat Cat Club Cafe in Disney World. Despite our expectations, these were pretty different. The Mickey Beignet from Cookie Kitchen was more like a donut with hazelnut filling for €4,5, which is roughly $5.30.

The Mickey Beignet!

This treat was obviously super popular, and it was one of the longest lines Fry and I waited in during our time in the park. Once we sunk our teeth into it, we totally understood why!

How they get the filling inside!

The beignet was a bit heavier and more dense like a donut than we thought it would be. It was pretty different compared to what we’re used to calling beignets, but we enjoyed it nonetheless! The breading was fresh and slightly cakey, which we both loved. It was perfectly sweet.

A look inside!

Inside, there was the hazelnut filling, and that’s where our biggest issue lies. We needed more of the filling! The spread was perfectly creamy and sweet, making it feel more homemade. Fry and I loved that! It just didn’t have enough of the filling. We each ate half, which was the perfect amount to satisfy our sweet tooths, but after two bites, the hazelnut was gone.

It’s so pretty!

If the filling was more spread out and not just at the bottom, we think that would be acceptable too. It was the perfect size for the two of us to share, but we demolished it pretty quickly! This park isn’t known for its food, but this was a nice, sweet surprise. While it wasn’t perfect, we would still highly recommend it!

As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney snack reviews and recommendations.
