We Have a Word of WARNING About Crowds in Disney World Right Now

If you’re headed to Disney World soon, we’re just going to warn you right now…things are VERY busy in the parks.

They’re HERE

Now, we’re not talking about all the construction happening at the parks and at Disney World hotels. We’re talking about Spring Break, that time of year when everyone decides to take a Disney World vacation. Anyway, we’re going to warn you now that these crowds are taking over the parks, so you won’t be surprised if you’re visiting soon.

Spring Break may be one of the busiest times in Disney World, maybe only second to the week of Christmas. With schools closed for a week, many take advantage of that time off to visit Disney World, which means that we end up with some pretty crowded parks. Earlier in the week of March 16th, we visited Magic Kingdom, and let’s just say that there were a LOT of people doing the same thing. We see people…people everywhere.

WOW

On one recent visit, we reached the Transportation and Ticket Center and were shocked at the crowds lining up for the Monorail. Pro tip: if the Monorail line looks like this when you arrive, head to the ferryboats instead. Those lines tend to be a little shorter.

LOTS of people going to Magic Kingdom

We’re not showing you these photos to worry you, though. We just want you prepared to deal with a very busy season in the parks. One thing you’ll want to do is take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel. Those extra 30 minutes can give you the opportunity to knock out at least one or two rides before the hordes of people arrive.

You’ll also want to seriously consider purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Purchase it ahead of your trip, and you can book your priority rides seven days in advance if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, or three days in advance if you’re not.

You’ll want to use the Lightning Lane right now (if you can get your hands on them!)

You’ll also want to make sure to take advantage of Mobile Order at those counter service restaurants that offer it. Get those orders in early, though, if you want to grab food at typical lunch and dinner times. For table service restaurants, you’ll want to make those reservations 60 days in advance.

Crowds aren’t exactly the most fun to deal with, but if you’re prepared, you can still manage to see and do a lot.

We’ll keep an eye on the crowds and report back in, so check back with AllEars soon for more.
