We Need 3-5 Business Days to Process These New Disney World Demolition Photos

DinoLand U.S.A. officially closed its doors earlier this month, and in just a few weeks, Disney has made MAJOR progress turning this area into the new Tropical Americas land.

Thanks to @bioreconstruct on both X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram, we’re able to get a really great look from the sky of how things are progressing. This is especially valuable since the walls up prevent guests from seeing the progress from the ground, and we got something extra special this time — a VIDEO of how the ground is looking!

Thanks to that video, we’re able to see that the entirety of the front of DINOSAUR has now been taken away — no more dinosaur out front! 😭 This ride building will be rethemed to become the new Indiana Jones ride, so we’re not expecting to see much demolition on the building itself (if any at all).

We also got a look at the new carousel attraction on the way, closer to where the Boneyard playground used to be. It looks like the carousel base itself is really taking place, and we can see more easily where exactly it’s going to be set.

Additionally, the ride building for the new Encanto attraction, which will look like Casita from the film (according to concept art), also appears to be coming along very well. The building itself is being constructed, and from what we can see, it’s looking pretty massive!

From the photos, we’re also able to see that the concrete walkway that originally brought guests between the construction walls to get to DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus is also in the process of being broken up. We’re happy to see so much progress being made on the land, because the faster it goes, the faster it’ll be able to reopen to the public — which Animal Kingdom desperately needs (especially when the Conservation Station temporarily closes ahead of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER).
