Well, That’s It — The Last Piece of DinoLand at Disney World Is GONE

Dang Disney, we haven’t even gotten to fully grieve yet!

DINOSAUR

DinoLand U.S.A. permanently closed in Animal Kingdom on February 2nd, 2026, and we’re still processing it.  Well, it seems like Disney is ready to move on and get going, because another massive part of DinoLand has been removed. Ok, now it’s feeling a little too real!

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!

The entrance sign to DinoLand in front of the bridge has been removed at Animal Kingdom. It was the sign that read the phrase “DinoLand U.S.A.” — an iconic piece of the park.

No more sign!

The sign also featured a brachiosaurus and the words “exploration, excavation, and exultation.” On the back, it read, “Thank you for visiting DinoLand, U.S.A.” It acted as the official entrance and exit to DinoLand, which is now gone, along with all the dining spots and attractions in it. We were still processing, but seeing the sign gone hurts differently.

Dinoland U.S.A.

Now, there is nothing that remains of the iconic land. No attractions, no music, and no sign — just construction walls.

DinoLand is officially gone.

It’s always hard to say goodbye, but we seriously can’t deny how exciting the future of Animal Kingdom is! A new Tropical Americas land called Pueblo Esperanza will be replacing DinoLand, and it will feature both Indiana Jones and the Family Madrigal from Encanto.

The land will see both an Encanto ride and a new Indiana Jones ride, as well as a carousel with hand-carved iconic Disney animal characters. Along with that, the new land will have a kids’ play area and a new quick-service restaurant!
