When Is Spring Break, Usually?

For many Americans, Spring Break is a week’s break from school in the spring semester, and it’s a very popular time to go on vacation. The dates don’t match up for every school, but they typically all fall within the same two-month range of March and April.

From visiting Disney World year-round, we’ve found that the most common Spring Break dates are the two middle weeks of March, as well as the week before and the week after Easter. During those weeks in particular, you can expect to see much higher crowds than usual, along with higher prices.

How Will Spring Break Affect My Park Budget?

If you’ve already booked your trip, you may have noticed that higher crowds likely mean you’re paying more for hotels and theme park tickets than other times of year. But it could affect your day-to-day park budget, too.

Spring Break is one of the times of the year when we see the highest prices for Lightning Lane Single Pass, Multi Pass, and Premier Pass. And unfortunately, with those heavy crowds, those services are more useful, and in some cases, more necessary.  When crowds are heavy, wait times are high.

Lightning Lane

For budgeting purposes, these are the highest prices we spotted for each Lightning Lane Multi Pass offering during Spring Break season 2025:

  • Multi Pass at Magic Kingdom — $39
  • Multi Pass at EPCOT — $32
  • Multi Pass at Hollywood Studios — $35
  • Multi Pass at Animal Kingdom — $29

Keep in mind that these prices are per person, per day, and they do not include tax.

If You Want to Eat During Your Trip, Take Note

One thing that fans can sometimes forget when planning a trip during a busy time of year is how hard it can be to accomplish the dining that you’d like. Dining reservations open 60 days before your trip, and if you want to snag a table service reservation at a spot that’s even moderately popular, you should be planning in advance.

Tony’s Town Square

If you’re staying on Disney property, you can book those reservations 60 days out for your entire trip, but if you’re staying off property, you have to book 60 days in advance of each day. That means that people staying in Disney World hotels get a distinct advantage for the dates that are towards the end of their trip — if you have a particularly popular restaurant on your must-do list, you should probably arrange your plans to move it closer to your departure date.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Not doing sit-down meals? There’s a strategy to quick service dining during busy times, too! We highly recommend choosing restaurants that have Mobile Order and scheduling your Mobile Order for the time that you plan to eat. You can see available Mobile Order times in the My Disney Experience app, and even if it’s only 9 AM, you could be scheduling your meal for 1 PM.

Mobile Order

The good news on that front is that if you’re running late and need to arrange your plans a bit, you can modify the times on your Mobile Orders after they’re booked, as long as there are still times available.

What Should I Pack?

Now, we’ve got to talk about your park bag! If you’re coming to Disney World during one of these busy times of the year, your packing list may need to look a little different.

You need the right things in your park bag!

For starters, we’re going to recommend one of our team’s favorite items, the JISULIFE Handheld Fan. Some of us keep this in our park bags year-round, but in the spring in Disney World, the humidity and heat are starting to ramp up.

JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan

You don’t want the weather to catch you off guard! This fan folds up small, has some serious wind power, and is rechargeable. Plus, it has a flashlight on the end.

Speaking of hot weather, it can also be helpful to have some cooling towels on hand. One of the more affordable options is these Sukeen 4-Pack Cooling Towels.

The pack comes with four different colors for each of your family members, plus individual resealable bags with carabiner clips for easy storage.

But perhaps the most important thing to have on hand during Spring Break is a portable charger! Between using the My Disney Experience app for maps, Mobile Orders, and Lightning Lanes and taking approximately a million family photos, your phone battery is going to die fast. Our recommendation? The FuelRod MAX10 – High Capacity Portable Charger.

FuelRod MAX10

You can purchase this charger at machines in the parks, but often, ordering it on Amazon before your trip is cheaper. Use it to charge your phone, then swap it out at one of the FuelRod kiosks for a fully-charged version. Seriously, this one is MUCH more powerful than the original FuelRods; your whole family could probably share!

Of course, with the increasingly warm weather comes some intense sunshine midday. We definitely suggest wearing sunscreen every day, and one of our faves is the Supergoop! PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 50

This one’s perfect for using on your face, and it’s fast-absorbing, water- and sweat-resistant.
