Disney World has seen many ride closures this year. From attractions being refurbished to permanent closures, many fans have had to say goodbye to their favorite rides until at least 2027!

Here are three rides that will be closed in Disney World for the rest of 2026 – and maybe even longer!
1. DINOSAUR
DINOSAUR was a thrilling dark ride in Animal Kingdom that closed with DinoLand, USA, earlier this month. You’d travel back in time to help Dr. Seeker rescue an Iguanodon and get chased by some scary dinosaurs along the way. The ride was permanently closed to make way for the Indiana Jones ride in the new Pueblo Esperanza land.

2. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is an indoor roller coaster in Hollywood Studios. You join classic rock band Aerosmith on their super stretch limo to speed to their concert. The ride will close on March 2nd, 2026, and will be renovated into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. 2026 will be the last year to ride the coaster with Aerosmith!

3. Wildlife Express Train
The Wildlife Express Train is an open-air train that takes you from the Africa area of the park to the Conservation Station. This seven-minute ride takes you behind the scenes of Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you can see animal housing and veterinary facilities for large animals like rhinos, elephants, and antelopes. The train will close on February 23rd and reopen sometime in the summer of 2026, so it will be closed for almost half of the year!

4. The Animation Experience at Conservation Station
While The Animation Experience isn’t technically a ride, it’s still one of our favorite attractions at Animal Kingdom. You can learn to draw Disney characters in a class taught by animators. It’s fun for the whole family, and your sketch makes for a great free souvenir! The Animation Experience at Conservation Station will close on February 23rd to make room for the new Bluey experience opening this summer.

We’re so sad to see some of our favorite attractions close this year. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World updates!

Rock ‘n’ roll roller coaster. I love that ride. I’m 68 years old and that is one of the roller coasters that I feel the safest in or the only one I will ride in. I wish there was a place in that park it could be displayed for a photo area and keep the gift shop . A safe place they could put in part for a fan viewing,
