A RARE Magic Kingdom Parade and Exclusive Treats Are Coming Next Month

We’re a couple of days away from Black History Month, and Disney just dropped a ton of information on how we can celebrate at the Disney Parks this year!

From new offerings at Walt Disney World Resort to family fun at Disneyland Resortsoulful experiences are coming just around the corner. Get ready for cultural touches of music, art, food, and fun that will deliver on unique opportunities. It’s time to start getting ready to “Celebrate Soulfully’’ at Disney!

Magic Kingdom

On February 9th, there is going to be a very rare and special parade moment in Magic Kingdom to officially bring in Black History Month festivities at Disney World. The parade will be led by Toya Johnson-Rushing as honorary Grand Marshal.

You can watch the parade along the parade route and down Main Street, U.S.A. The parade will take place around 3 PM ET, but check back in closer to the date. It will be filled with joyful, high-energy celebration featuring beloved Disney characters, lively music, and dazzling displays.

Cinderella Castle!

EPCOT

Black artistry is going to shine throughout EPCOT throughout February during the International Festival of the Arts! Be on the lookout for the following artists and their art:

  • Yesenia Moises
  • Ryan Riller
  • Larissa Brown
  • Mark Page

These artists will make appearances on various days through mid-February. Be sure to check the Disney World website, as dates and times are subject to change.

Festival of the Arts!

Be sure to check out EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts DISNEY ON BROADWAY, which features incredible Black artists from shows like The Lion King and Aladdin. You can watch the performances at America Gardens Theatre. Be sure to look out for the following:

  • Anastacia McCleskey (Tarzan) – NEW!
  • Kissy Simmons (The Lion King)

Disney World Food

Let’s talk food at Disney World, as you’ll be able to enjoy dishes that celebrate Black culture with limited-time offerings. Check out the bites:

  • Soulful New York Cheesecake Pop (NEW) — Cheesecake Ganache layered with Graham Cracker Ganache enrobed in 65% Dark Chocolate (Available from February 1st – 28th at The Ganachery at Disney Springs)

    Lastly, make sure to be on the lookout at Disney Springs for the Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression. This walk explores works by talented Black artists, including Ernest Shaw, Nneka Jones, Nardstar, Marci Swett, and Brandon Hill.

Disneyland Resort

Downtown Disney

“Celebrate Gospel” concerts are returning to Disneyland Resort for two weekends in 2026, February 20th-21st and February 27th-28th, and will take place on the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage.

Sacred Groove

The headliners for the first weekend will be two Grammy Award-winning gospel music performers — Bishop Hezekiah Walker on February 21st and Yolanda Adams on February 28th. Since it’s at Downtown Disney, you don’t even need a park ticket to attend! 

Celebrate Gospel in 2022

Displays

Be on the lookout for the brand-new heritage trail of dynamic displays, whihc is debuting across Disneyland Resort. The displays celebrate influential Black leaders, artists, and thinkers from the past and present.

You’ll be able to see these from Frontierland to Hollywood Land and various spots in between. Each display will recognize the shaping of culture and industries for generations by these individuals. Keep your eyes peeled to spot these tributes:

  • Leah Chase at Tiana’s Palace
  • Martha Blanding on Main Street, U.S.A.
  • Floyd Norman on Buena Vista Street
  • And so much more!

Speciality Food

Of course, there are going to be delectable dishes crafted to honor the rich stories of Black heritage. Here are a couple of this year’s limited-time food options:

  • Tiana’s Palace — French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl: Spicy honey-glazed fried chicken served with baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens
  • Lamplight Lounge — New Orleans BBQ Shrimp: Cajun battered shrimp served with cheesy polenta, onions, peppers, celery and a New Orleans BBQ butter sauce

These will be available January 30th through March 2nd.
