REVIEW: We’re Sorry To Tell You, But It’s Probably For The Best That This Disney World Spot Is Hidden

There are a lot of dining options at Disney World. There are the well-known, popular restaurants, but there are plenty of dining locations you may have never even heard about.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney World restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by a hidden dining spot, Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course at Saratoga Springs Resort, and we are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

Even if you have been to Disney World numerous times, you may not have even heard of Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe unless you have made a visit to the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. This dining location is a bit hidden and tucked away. You can find it behind the Saratoga Springs lobby near the Golf Pro Shop. However, it isn’t a big location so keep your eyes peeled!

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe used to be called Chips & Slices, and while it mainly serves hungry golfers, anyone is welcome to stop for a bite.

Everyone is welcome!

If you are playing golf, you can pull your golf cart right up near the restaurant for a quick and easy bite. Let’s take a closer look at what it is like dining here.

Atmosphere

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Cafe is a counter service dining location that you head up to the window to order. It is unassuming and it isn’t going to wow you visually. There are a few tables nearby, but all of the seating is outdoors. However, it is a convenient spot if you are playing a round of golf! And if you are looking for a relaxing spot to grab a bite, since it is a bit tucked away, you will find that there usually isn’t lots and lots of people here.

It’s very tucked away!

The menu features sandwiches, wraps, grilled cheese, quesadillas, and more. You will find lots of classic lunch options, plus you can also get an Arnold Palmer here. The lunch options can be purchased by themselves, or you can get a combo with chips and a fountain drink, or chips and a domestic beer.

The menu

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

We started with the Chicken Bacon Quesadilla for $10. This is made with Grilled Chicken, Crisp Bacon and Melted Cheese served with a side of Salsa and Sour Cream.

Chicken Bacon Quesadilla

This was our favorite of the two meals. It had lots of cheese and the chicken and bacon was in smaller chunks which we preferred. The cheese was nice and cheesy and well melted and it held together well. It tastes like a quesadilla our moms would make us, in the best way. It’s nothing to go out of your way for, but it’s a solid option!

The inside

Next, we tried the Country Club Wrap for $11.50. This is a golf course classic. It is made with bacon, turkey, Swiss cheese, ham, and American cheese with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.

Country Club Wrap

This thing is loaded with meat! There’s a large selection of condiments by the order window (mustard, mayo, ketchup, relish) and we would definitely recommend grabbing some for this wrap, as it is dry without any condiments. The meat was your classic deli meat, and it was very light on the lettuce and tomato, so much so that we wished there was more.

TONS of meat

It’s about what you would expect from a deli meat wrap, so while it was nothing special, it was tasty and something great to grab if you’re starving on the course.

Magic or Tragic?

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • You’re golfing on the course
  • You need something simple and quick
  • You’re a very picky eater

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • You’re nowhere nearby
  • You’re looking for a meal that will impress you at least a little bit
  • You want to eat inside

Rating: N/A Recommended By: N/A
Menus: All-Day
Services: Take Out or Walk-up Window

We think this place is a great option for golfers in need of something to fuel them, but otherwise, we don’t think it’s worth the trip over. It has some solid options to keep you going throughout the day, but that’s about as much praise as we can give it.
