This Lightning Lane HACK Is a Game Changer in Disney World — But Is it Worth $419?

Recently, we stumbled onto a NEW Lightning Lane hack… but it costs a pretty (pressed) penny.

Magic Kingdom

Before we get started, a quick rundown on Disney’s current Lightning Lane offerings:

Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows guests to plan ahead of their visit and choose up to 3 Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park (7 days in advance of their stay for Disney hotel guests and 3 days in advance for non-hotel guests).

Lightning Lane Single Pass allows guests to “Save time in line with a Lightning Lane Single Pass for one of our most in-demand attractions—those not available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass.” Single Passes are eligible to be purchased in the same time as their Multi Pass equivalents. Finally, the

Lightning Lane Premier Pass  “allows one-time entry to each Lightning Lane experience in a theme park—to enjoy at your leisure that day” which can once again be purchased beginning in the same purchase window.

The hack ties into one of Disney’s most popular perks. Currently, guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts or other select hotels (the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green) have access to Extended Evening Hours. These hours allow guests to experience “select attractions, shops and dining after regular park hours—in select theme parks on select nights.”

So, what’s the hack? Well, during Extended Evening Hours, Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass are unavailable. However, the more expensive Lightning Lane Premiere Pass is still active. That guests who have purchased one can breeze through basically COMPLETELY EMPTY Lightning Lane queues.

Those who lay out for the highest tier of Lightning Lanes — the Premier Pass — have access to completely deserted Lightning Lane queues during Extended Evening Hours. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World hacks.
